i got a new tattoo for my birthday. love it.

i picked up my guitar again and even took a few lessons.

i saw more snow than i have ever seen in my life. in texas. it was crazy.

i admitted that i’m a horrible flirt.

i had a bout of extreme happiness and upbeat attitude. it didn’t last very long. trying to get back to it.

i played outside with my mom and my camera. it was a great afternoon.

i got a ukulele! so fun.

i finally realized (or, am still realizing) to let go of poisonous relationships.

got a couple of gorgeous and very sweet gifts.

met a two sweet internet friends.

and moved across country, to a new state, on my own for the first time.

it’s been a doozy of a few months. i hope to be around more often.

i’ve been thinking a lot about what an awful year 2009 has been and i’m trying to let it make me hopeful for the future. i’m going to try to WILL 2010 to be a better year. i’ve got a lot of plans and hopes and i’ve seen lots of people making a list of all they want to accomplish and i thought i’d throw mine in. i thought about it the past few days and i’m pretty happy with what i’ve got so far. i might add to it or edit it as time goes by but i really want to get through all of it. i’d love to see or hear what you’ve got planned for next year!

back to work now. it looks like it’s going to be a long night. need to put on another pot of tea.

i’m busy shipping and still working on getting caught up (please let it just be done already!!) but i thought i would pop in for a minute to say thank you for all the lovely things you’ve said and all the hugs you’ve sent my brother. i told him that i was going to save them all up and give them to him on christmas. ha. yeah, he didn’t like that so much. ;)

it has been the crappiest of crappy days as of late. i try really hard not to be a debbie downer so when i go through unpleasant stuff or have bad days i usually just prefer to be quiet. i’ve actually had a lot to say but most of it has been profane and inappropriate for the world. heh. personally, the last few weeks have been rough but since this involves family and people that might not want their lives on the interwebs, i will refrain from talking about it in any great detail. let’s just say that we are all fighting, in my family, to keep our heads above water without snapping at each other. it’s stressful and hard. family is worth it though. the other thing that has had me bummed out and feeling like a chicken with my head cut off is the fact that my beloved and worn macbook died this past weekend after 3 years. i had nothing backed up. well, i have about half of my huge music collection on my iphone but short of that i was lost. the mac genius told me that it was probably not likely that they will be able to recover anything and if they can it’ll be super pricey. i cried when it happened and on the way to the apple store. all of my business files, records, music, photos were all on that freaking machine. it’s terrifying how much we rely on our computers. i felt completely helpless and freaked out about what i was going to do. enter my awesome possum brother. he bought me a macbook pro for christmas because he knew that my computer was giving me trouble and because i have been drooling over them for months. my brother is the bestest, kindest and amazingest brother in the world. he saved my butt. he was only bummed that he didn’t get to surprise me on christmas morning. so very happy.

i had an entire LONG post but wordpress ate it when i tried to publish it. i thought that it was saving my draft but i won’t make that mistake again!

i’m still suffering through a major case of the blahs and trying to get shop stuff caught up and get over a sinus infection so i haven’t had much of a chance to do anything crafty lately. i have been looking at other people’s beautiful things and i thought i would share some with y’all. i absolutely adore looking at other inspiring posts. hope you do, too!

james stewart. i love him. he was a great actor and handsome to boot! the end of mr. smith goes to washington always chokes me up. brilliant!

i love taking photos. and looking at photos. and thinking about photos. heh.
